Sanford 1st ward primary & sunday school float
Random Larson Life Pictures
I am learning to be more girly---which includes painted fingernails and toe nails. Maybe with two girls I will conquer my "learn to be more feminine" goal. Hands are harder to hold still than feet I guess---Lucas thinks feet are SO gross--so sorry if this makes anyone sick :)
PS: I have heard the term "Goddess toe" for when the second toe is longer than the first--anyone know anymore names for it? And are your toes like this?
Dang misquito got me before I got him!
A snowma Sedona made for me--she wanted me to post it.
After I had ordered my fast food I pulled over for a minute, and watched the following touching scene take place.
A construction truck was parked and pretty soon another car pulled up. A boy (with a backpack and nice white shirt) got out of the car and a grown man (long hair-orange shirt-red hat--reminded me of Lucas) got out of the construction truck and litterally RAN to each other and gave each other big hungs. I think it is clear is a father/son--dads turn to have the son for the summer. But then the women gets out of the car and gives the man a big hug too. They take a suitcase out of the car and put it in the truck and they all go on their way. I was totally impressed with them--even for the 2 1/2 minutes that I watched--I thought wouldn't that be great if more divorsed couples could act this way---I was so impressed I took a (bad) picture.

NO MORE PRIMARY
I have been released as Primary President! YEAH!!
I like the new women they called--she and her new counselors will be good.
For those of you not LDS (Mormon) who read my blog---for the past 2 1/2 years I have been over the children in our congregation. We have 3 hour Sunday meetings--the first hour the kids are with their parents and we are all together.
The second and third hour the kids go to Primary while the adults go to their other classes.
We have the older kids (8 and older) in Senior Primary and the younger kids (3-4 years to 7 years) in Junior Primary and Nursery is 18 months to 3 years old.
Senior Primary goes to classes first, while Junior primary comes into the Primary room and we teach them for the next hour. We do a Singing time (about 20 minutes) and a lesson (Sharing) time for 15 Minutes.
Then we switch and Senior Primary comes in while Junior Primary goes to classes--the last 15 minutes we all meet up together to do closing song, announcements, announce birthdays and closing prayer.
Lets just say I am normally very tired after church.
I have tried to figure out how long I have been in different callings in our church--this is what I can remember
Primary Teacher (19-21 years old--------2 years)
Nursery (21-22 years old------------------1 year)
YW (22-24-----------------2 years)
Relief society (25 ----------6 months-)
Primary Teacher (25---------1 year)
Music leader in Primary (26-27 2 years?)
Primary Counsel (28-----------6 months?)
Primary President (28-30---------2 1/2 years)
so for 9 out of the past 11 1/2 years I have been in Primary.
Now don't get me wrong. I love primary, but I am ready for something else.
I will write more about this late...
Float pictures will come I promise---along with about a million more!

summer fun more
Today we went to the Alamosa Air show.
we saw lots of planes do fun tricks, but it was so hot! Guess what the tempeture was (according to a local banks sign?) 82 degrees! I was sweating and starting to get uncomfortable.
HONESTLY! I DO NOT like any weather over about 78 degrees. Guess I live in a good place for that--but the problem is I don't like weather under about 50 degrees--so I guess we can't have it all!
Summer list continued.
1. Air show in Alamosa
2. Lunch at Burger King
3. Play at Burger King playplace
4. Play with Cousins
And the Summer goes on....

summer fun and a annoucement for later.
It is amazing to me how one item can totally take over your life. As Primary Pres. we build a float every year for the 24th Celebrations in our little town. I have literally spent more time working on that float than anything else this week.
While NOT all fun---there is some of MY grown up (with some fun kids things thrown in) list.
1. Work on carboard-ing the float
2. Work on Building a tree frame for the float (ok really I just watched)
3. Paper mache the tree (no idea how to spell that) :)
4. Paper mache the tree
5. Paper Mache the tree
6. Put Foil on the float
7. Spray paint a little
8. Make the fruit for the tree
9. Plan and do two story times (which I think went rather well)
Here is where the fun stuff comes in....
10. Snow cones at our little sugar shack (no idea what it is called)
11. Watch friends play baseball
12. Played at the park
13. Got a treat from the baseball sugar shack
14. Played at Annies House
15. Picnic at Annies House
16. Had a fit and almost had all our toys taken away (not so fun for ANYONE)
17. Had Roj and Keeda come and play
18. Had Sedona's Birthday Party (YES i will now label each activity individually
19. Present Porch
20. Candy Tree
21. House of Color
22. Doorway to the Fiesta
23. Cake & Ice Cream
24. Presents
25. Fun with FRIENDS!
26. Had a friend stay a little longer after party--
ALSO in about 3 days I will have a big announcement. NO we will not be adding to our family (except our Korean exchange student in August) so that is NOT the surprise. I am really excited about it, but it won't really be a big deal to anyone but me!
